Radisson Hospitality announced the signing of ten new hotels in Africa at the Africa Hotel Investment Forum.
The move marks an acceleration in the expansion of the Nasdaq-listed company in Stockholm across the continent.
Radisson Hotel Group’s growth strategy in Africa is a key initiative of Destination 2022, the group’s five-year strategic operational plan, with the goal of becoming one of the top three hotel companies in the world.
Andrew McLachlan, Senior Vice President, Development, Sub-Saharan Africa, Radisson Hotel Group, said: “We are delighted to announce ten new hotel deals in just nine months, which equates to at least one new signing every month.
“Each signature is strategically aligned to achieve our five-year development plan, through new market entries, the introduction of new brands and large-scale growth in key African destinations.
“So far this year, we will add more than 1,300 rooms to our portfolio in Africa and plan to continue this accelerated growth through further expansion in key markets of this thriving continent. “
