It’s officially Women’s History Month and there are many amazing restaurants in the area that are owned by women. You can celebrate by visiting one of these restaurants below.

Prepared meals

Offering preservative-free meals, all fresh ingredients, and options for all dietary needs like paleo and gluten-free, you can’t miss this option. Visit the Prepped Up Meals website to select your meals for the week, pay, and select a pickup time.

Prepped Up Meals is located at 1550 Airport Dr. in Shreveport and can be picked up Mondays from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Mi Meza Latin Cuisine

This popular food truck offers authentic birria tacos and other authentic family recipes passed down from generation to generation. A rotating menu of options includes classics like tamales, quesadillas and tacos with Latin twists on other cuisines like loaded fries and ramen bowls.

Glow Alchemy Kitchen

Glow Alchemy Kitchen is open for lunch at 955 Pierremont Rd. in Shreveport.

Owner Jessica is a pastry chef turned health coach on a mission to help others live cleaner lives. Glow Alchemy is the perfect place to grab a cold-pressed juice or take-out dinner from their open fridge. You can also order a matcha latte or a delicious lunch like Thai lettuce wraps, buffalo tacos or the nourishing bowl while glowing. Glow Alchemy Kitchen is located at 955 Pierremont STE 200 in Shreveport. They are open on Mondays from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for meal preparation only. From Tuesday to Friday, they are open for coffee and smoothies from 10 a.m. and are open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. They are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

You can’t forget dessert, and Sue Hall at Cranked Up Confections is a self-taught baker who offers treats of all kinds. From balls of cake in fun flavors like banana pudding and decorated donut for any occasion to custom orders of cakes, cookies and full dessert tables for any event, Sue has you covered.
