1. Houw Hoek Hotel, South Africa
Located in the heart of the famous Kogelberg Nature Reserve in South Africa, the Houw Hoek Hotel is 80 kilometers from Cape Town. It’s been around since 1779. And according to information on its website, guests can choose from a range of 81 luxury en-suite rooms.

2. Hotel Continental, Morocco
Located in Tangier, Morocco, Hotel Continental was established in 1870. Picturesque views of old-world architecture and sprawling palm trees that guests can enjoy are some of the hotel’s selling points.
According to information on the hotel’s website, guests get free Wi-Fi and free breakfast. Rates per room start from $48, according to Booking.com.
3. Marriott Mena House, Egypt
Founded in 1886, Marriot Mena House is a 5-star luxury hotel located in Cairo, Egypt. Much like the Continental Hotel, this former Egyptian hotel also has a quaint North African vibe, surrounded by palm trees and clear blue skies.
On its website, the hotel lists the outdoor pool, restaurant, fitness center, spa, among others, among the main services it offers. You can enjoy all the luxury offered by Marriot Mena House for just $282 per night, according to Booking.com.
4. Hotel El Djazair, Algeria
This historic hotel was established in Algiers in 1889 and is inspired by the architecture of the Victorian era. It is classified as a 5-star hotel and its exotic rooms cost around $174 per night, according to Hotels.com.
On its website, the company lists the following side attractions: on-site massages, body treatments, outdoor tennis court, disco, sauna and free wireless internet access, etc.
5. Grand Holiday Villa Hotel, Sudan
The Grand Holiday Villa Hotel has existed since 1890. It is located in Khartoum, the Sudanese capital, and offers various services in addition to accommodation. Some of these services are a gym, sauna, meeting rooms, business center, hair salon, etc.
The rooms of the Grand Holiday Villa Hotel are of different categories and are therefore offered at different prices. These categories are Single, Deluxe, and Executive, and rates can reach as high as $272 per night.
