Find hearty, soulful dishes like 12-Hour Braised Prime Rib over Jalapeño Creamed Corn; togarashi-crusted chicken over bucatini Alfredo; seared crab cake topped with charred jalapeño, watermelon and mango salsa; risotto with Cajun spices; and jerk-marinated smothered chicken at the new Smith & Webster in Miami-Dade’s Golden Glades neighborhood. Local food blogger Starex Smith — AKA @TheHungry Black Man — has teamed up with retired NFL cornerback Kayvon Webster to celebrate the Black American dining experience. With the help of former Southern Spice executive chef Malcolm Prude and chefs Gerald Harvey and Cecil G, they deliver their own take on African-American comfort food classics that touch on a variety of cultures and cuisines, from southern in the Caribbean. Many represent their own personal favorites and they want to share them with everyone, regardless of ethnicity. 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Udon Asian Food, Spain’s leading Asian restaurant chain, has opened its first US outpost in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. The new space, located steps from the Wynwood 25 mixed-use residential development, offers cooked-to-order udon, ramen and soba noodle dishes and rolls, as well as Asian-inspired tapas, rice dishes and a selection of vegan and vegetarian options.
